
Brenda Fargo, President
Strategic Aggregation Consultants was founded by Brenda Fargo following 16 years with FirstEnergy Solutions. During her tenure at FirstEnergy Solutions, she was responsible for the 2001 creation and continued implementation of the electric aggregation program. Under her guidance, the FirstEnergy Solutions electric aggregation program grew to serve more than 450 communities and over 2 million customers.
Over the past 12 years, Brenda has worked directly with many communities to implement and maintain their aggregation programs. A sample of those is listed below.

In addition, she has assisted the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) and Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC), the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC), and the New Jersey Division of the Rate Counsel with aggregation related issues and provided suggestions to make the programs in those states more beneficial to communities and their participants.
Stephen Littlechild, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK sought Brenda for assistance with his thesis on government aggregation. Her expertise in aggregation provided invaluable insights and clarifications during the process of writing and publishing the paper.
Prior to her years with FirstEnergy Solutions, Brenda worked for BFI Waste Systems as a Governmental Business Development Manager. In that role, she assisted local governments with privatizing their municipal waste service. She worked with many communities as well as county Solid Waste Authorities to implement programs to serve trash disposal needs.
Brenda Fargo obtained a BA from the University of Akron. She is also a graduate of Leadership Akron Class XII. She was elected twice to Green City Council serving as both Vice President and President of Council. In 1998 she became the Mayor of the City of Green, a community of 24,000. While her term ended the beginning of 2000, she is still using her government experience to help communities in Ohio with their aggregation efforts.
Brenda is also an active community volunteer. Her work includes serving on the Boards of the Summit Akron Solid Waste Authority and the Akron Civic Theatre as well as a member of the Summit County YMCA Advocacy Committee and the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank Taste of the NFL Committee.
